Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technician (MLT/MLS/CLS) | Evenings
About The Position
Emplify Health by Gundersen is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist, Medical Technologist, Clinical Laboratory Scientist, or Medical Laboratory Technician to join our Core Laboratory team. This is a part-time position, 40 hours biweekly (0.5 FTE), with evening shifts (2p-10:30p) and every third weekend rotation on nights (10p-6:30a). The role involves performing routine laboratory testing, analyzing information, monitoring quality performance, and developing/implementing laboratory procedures. Starting pay is $29.70 and up, with applicable evening, night, and weekend shift differentials.
Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques, including blood sampling, specimen collection, processing, and analysis.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
Nice To Haves
- ASCP certification is not required.
- ASCP Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) Certification is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine laboratory testing on a variety of specimens.
- Demonstrate competency within the full scope of laboratory procedures, including chemical, microscopic, bacteriologic, molecular, and transfusion medicine.
- Analyze information and monitor quality performance.
- Take action to ensure the efficient delivery of accurate and timely laboratory test results and services.
- Develop and implement laboratory procedures.
- Maintain quality control in the laboratory.
