About The Position
This PRN Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Laboratory Technician role provides flexible part time hours of approximately 6 to 8 hours per week. You will perform laboratory testing that supports diagnosis and treatment while ensuring accuracy, quality, and collaboration with the care team. Sheridan Community Hospital is a 22-bed critical access hospital serving Montcalm County and surrounding communities. Requirements
- Associates or higher degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field.
- Certification ASCP AMT or equivalent within 12 months of hire.
- Strong attention to detail and independent work ability.
Nice To Haves
- Prior laboratory experience preferred.
- PRN availability for critical coverage.
- Strong generalist experience.
- Blood bank competency.
Responsibilities
- Perform lab testing across core areas including chemistry, hematology, and urinalysis.
- Collect and process specimens including phlebotomy.
- Ensure accurate and timely results with quality control standards.
- Communicate critical results with providers and nursing staff.
- Support lab operations and equipment maintenance.
