About The Position
Laboratory teams test blood, body fluids, and tissue samples to help diagnose diseases, illnesses, and other conditions requiring medical attention. Testing supports hospital inpatients and emergency room patients around the clock, as well as outpatient and clinic specimens. The laboratories are licensed by the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services under the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments Act (CLIA) and accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP). This position works varied shifts, with occasional weekends and holiday coverage required.
Requirements
- ASCP, AMT, or equivalent certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Laboratory Technician is required.
- At least 1 year of experience is required.
- Experience with Epic Antibody IDs, emergency blood banking, and Ortho Vitros 5600 is required.
