Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and Clinics is home to the largest laboratory in NH, providing Pathology and Clinical Laboratory services to DHMC & Clinics physician practices, Dartmouth Health system member hospitals, and independent practices and hospitals throughout NH and VT. The department is a leader in process improvement (LEAN/Six Sigma), which has led to a renovated space designed to improve workflow efficiency. The Medical Laboratory Scientist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist independently performs a variety of diagnostic tests in the Clinical Laboratory to obtain data for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. This position is located in the Chemistry section of our laboratory. This area is highly automated and focuses on general chemistry, endocrine testing, tumor marker testing, serology, and special protein testing. Team members have a mix of experience and work together to complete large volumes of inpatient and outpatient chemistry testing across several instrument platforms. The environment is fast-paced and never short on interesting specimens to troubleshoot. The team can leverage middleware efficiencies, allowing them to focus on samples that truly require their attention and expertise. As a teaching hospital, learning and mentoring experiences are readily available for all technologists.
