About The Position
Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist I for their Auto-Chemistry department in Lewisville, TX. This role is responsible for working with state-of-the-art laboratory instrumentation and contributing to providing diagnostic information services. The position is for the second shift, Tuesday to Saturday, from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM. Requirements
- Associate's degree in a related science field or equivalent experience.
- Experience with laboratory instrumentation.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety and quality control procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field.
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or equivalent.
- Experience with chemistry analyzers.
- Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS).
Responsibilities
- Perform testing on automated chemistry analyzers.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of test results.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and troubleshoot issues.
- Adhere to all laboratory safety and quality control procedures.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
