Operating within a highly regulatory environment, you will contribute to Vitalant's life saving mission by performing laboratory tasks, including component production, labeling, record review and data entry.
Requirements
- Associates degree in laboratory science, medical laboratory technology required.
- MLT certification required or qualification for CLIA High Complexity required.
- State license as required by regulations.
- One year of laboratory experience required or MLT certification or Bachelors required without lab experience.
Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate maintenance of data records and documentation.
- Perform moderate complexity testing including CMV, Hgb S testing, and operation of a cell counter.
- Perform high complexity testing including Antigen screens, antibody ID, and cross match.
- Manage the labeling of routine and special components and review criteria to determine product acceptability.
- Assist in reconciling reports.
