About The Position
Under supervision, the Medical Lab Technician performs routine and special laboratory assays of patient specimens in all sections of Clinical Laboratory Medicine to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease. Performs various microscopic, chemical, hematological, immunologic, or bacteriologic assays according to established standards. Calibrates and operates all instruments and equipment according to preventive maintenance schedule.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) from the American Society for Clinical Pathology
- Successful completion of a supervised one-year clinical internship.
