About The Position

The Medical Lab Tech II performs routine and complex laboratory tests to support the diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of patient health. The role ensures the accuracy and reliability of laboratory results through careful specimen processing, quality control, and adherence to regulatory standards, contributing to patient safety and quality care. The position also performs other duties as assigned. All job responsibilities are to be carried out in alignment with Kettering Health's mission, vision, values, and B Safe program.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) by a recognized certifying agency, such as the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), obtained prior to the start date.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related discipline.
• Two or more years of experience in a clinical laboratory, with proficiency in multiple laboratory disciplines.
• Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or equivalent.

Responsibilities
