Requirements
- Medical Lab Scientist I: 0-2 years of relevant laboratory experience meeting Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist educational requirements and certification OR 5 years or more experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician (with associate's degree in MLT) and certification.
- Medical Lab Scientist II: MLS/BB certification required. 2 years in a clinical laboratory setting required.
- Medical Lab Scientist III: MLS/BB certification required. 3 years lab experience with 1-year IRL required. 2 years lead/charge experience required.
Nice To Haves
- SBB certification preferred (for Medical Lab Scientist III)
Responsibilities
- Perform high complexity testing in immunohematology, including antibody identification, antigen typing, absorptions, elution, and cross match.
- Review and report test results, participate in investigative studies, participate in quality control, preventative maintenance, and validations.
