About The Position

Pride Health is hiring a Medical Lab Scientist II (Generalist – Blood Bank) to support our client’s medical facility in Fairhope, AL. This is a 3-month assignment and it's a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization! We are seeking an experienced Medical Lab Scientist II to join a busy 200-bed hospital laboratory in Fairhope, Alabama. This is an excellent opportunity for a laboratory professional with strong Generalist experience and a solid Blood Bank background to work in a collaborative Core Laboratory environment with the potential for permanent employment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in MLS, CLS, MT
• Generalist laboratory experience.
• Blood Bank experience, including antibody identification and antigen typing.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex laboratory testing as a Generalist.
• Perform Blood Bank testing, including antibody identification and antigen typing.
• Analyze and report laboratory results accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain quality control and comply with laboratory policies and procedures.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation.
• Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, and other applicable regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with laboratory staff and healthcare providers to support quality patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and laboratory records.
