About The Position
The Medical Lab Assistant I will function to provide administrative and technical support to phlebotomist, lab technicians, and management staff in the lab. This position is part-time. Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
- Near visual and color acuity is required.

Responsibilities
- Function as an assistant to laboratory staff in action(s) assigned
- Handle specimens that include blood, urine, bodily fluids, tissues, stool, and other material for biological and chemical analysis
- Perform minor CLIA waived laboratory testing that does not require licensure or certification (ie.,pregnancy testing, MONO, and certain other rapid testing)
- Follow up on orders from clinics and vendors
- All other duties as assigned
