About The Position

The Medical Laboratory Assistant II will join the Lab Outreach team at Baptist Medical Center. This is a full-time, day shift position with varying hours between Monday and Saturday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. Baptist Jacksonville is a Magnet™ designated hospital. The role involves outpatient lab work and specimen collection, supporting patient care decisions through accurate and timely diagnostic results from full-service pathology labs with advanced technology. The position is located at Baptist Jacksonville, specifically in the BMDA Building downtown.
Requirements
- Collecting blood specimens for routine and special laboratory procedures.
- Utilizing computer functions.
Responsibilities
- Performing a variety of clerical and technical duties associated with the pre- and post-analytical handling of laboratory specimens and results.
- Communicating laboratory results and responds to specimen-related questions from physicians and various other caregivers.
- Collecting blood specimens for routine and special laboratory procedures.
- Utilizing computer functions.
