About The Position
Baptist Health is currently looking for a Medical Laboratory Assistant II to join our Lab Outreach team at Baptist Medical Center. This is a day shift, location and shifts may vary between Monday - Saturday, 7:00am - 5:00pm. Baptist Jacksonville is a Magnet™ designated hospital, the gold standard for excellence in patient care. Outpatient lab work and specimen collection services are available at several Baptist Health locations throughout Northeast Florida.
Requirements
- Experience Working in a Healthcare Setting
- Phlebotomy Experience
- Specimen Processing Experience
- High School Diploma Required
Responsibilities
- Performing a variety of clerical and technical duties associated with the pre- and post-analytical handling of laboratory specimens and results.
- Communicating laboratory results and responds to specimen-related questions from physicians and various other caregivers.
- Collecting blood specimens for routine and special laboratory procedures.
- Utilizing computer functions.
