This role involves providing accurate, high-quality consecutive interpretation during medical appointments and healthcare interactions, acting as a vital link between patients and healthcare providers to ensure understanding, dignity, and quality care for individuals with limited English proficiency. The position is on an as-needed basis as an independent contractor, offering flexibility while contributing to meaningful work in healthcare facilities.
Requirements
- Fluency in English and at least one target language (spoken and understood at a professional level).
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
- Excellent listening, memory retention, and note-taking skills.
- Ability to remain impartial, professional, and composed in sensitive situations.
