About The Position

ChristianaCare is currently looking for Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants to join our Medical Critical Care Team servicing 3 hospital campuses (1,300 beds) in Newark and Wilmington, DE and Elkton, MD. This is a full-time position with option to be standard day position or in dedicated off-shift position (swingternist, nocturnist, weekendist). The selected candidate will provide clinical management to patients in the Medical ICU with the support and collaboration by a medical intensivist as well as responding to code blues, performing ICU admissions, and managing rapid responses (Cecil campus only).

Requirements

• Licensed or eligible for Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the state of Delaware and Maryland
• Acute Care NP license required
• Prescriptive Authority for the state of Delaware and Maryland
• DEA registration for the state of Delaware and Maryland
• ACLS required

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical management to patients in the Medical ICU with the support and collaboration by a medical intensivist
• Respond to code blues
• Perform ICU admissions
• Manage rapid responses (Cecil campus only)
