Precision Health supports members through in-office visits, remote health monitoring, virtual care consultations, and a patient app. As a Medical Imaging Technologist, you will be the primary clinical contact for members, responsible for obtaining precise diagnostic data through bone densitometry and body composition imaging. This data is crucial for the care team's personalized health recommendations. You will collaborate with physicians, health coaches, and other care professionals to ensure an exceptional member experience. There will also be opportunities to contribute to the development of clinical protocols and training standards as Precision Health expands.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited medical radiography program.
  • Current certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
  • Current MRT registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic & Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT).
  • Proficiency in performing bone densitometry scans and body composition imaging.
  • Proficiency in using PACS/RIS and electronic health records (EHR) platforms.
  • Demonstrated comfort learning new health IT systems.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Genuine comfort explaining technical procedures to members from diverse backgrounds and health literacy levels.
  • Strong professional judgment.
  • Organized and able to manage time effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving ability with critical thinking and data analysis skills.
  • Diligent, autonomous, punctual, discreet, with excellent people skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistent quality standards.

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of experience working in bone mineral density (BMD) imaging.
  • Experience operating bone densitometry devices, particularly GE Lunar Prodigy systems.
  • Ability to create protocols and manuals to support team training and standardization.
  • Experience working in a preventative health, executive health, or private healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform bone density and body composition scans for members seeking preventative insights.
  • Ensure correct patient identification and maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Explain procedures to members and assist with positioning for accurate imaging.
  • Ensure complete and accurate patient screening and maintain imaging quality standards according to clinic and regulatory requirements.
  • Accurately reproduce scans and troubleshoot positioning or technical issues.
  • Assist members with any needs or concerns during their visit.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure all imaging records are completed appropriately within required systems.
  • Perform routine performance checks on equipment and peripherals, reporting any issues to the Operations Manager.
  • Maintain organized, clean procedure areas and ensure materials are prepared.
  • Participate in educational programs, trainings, and workshops to maintain clinical excellence.
  • Support accreditation, quality assurance, and safety initiatives.
  • Lead training and evaluation of new imaging technologists.
  • Support the continuous evolution of imaging protocols and procedures.
  • Collaborate with clinical and operational leadership to optimize workflow and enhance member experience.
