Medical Imaging Specialist - Radiology - Full-time/Days
About The Position
Valley Children’s Healthcare is one of California's leading Children’s hospitals. Every member of the x-ray team is an essential part of making kids better today and healthier tomorrow through radiologic studies using state of the art technology. Performing diagnostic quality imaging procedures for our inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department population allows for participation as a member of an energetic team that proactively supports delivery of safe patient care and services. This department is tailored for those who are interested in utilizing technology to aid in caring for children in need of radiologic services. The Medical Imaging Specialist (MIS) is an unlicensed multi-skilled worker who supports patient care by performing specific technical tasks and support functions as delegated by a licensed provider. The care provided by the MIS is supervised by a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer. Working within a team environment and can manage multiple priorities in a timely manner are required skills.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/G.E.D. (required)
- BLS - Basic Life Support - AHA - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire or transfer into position (required)
Nice To Haves
- Program Graduate of a patient care program (CNA, MA, or EMT) (preferred)
- MA - Medical Assistant (preferred)
- CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant (preferred)
- EMT- Emergency Medical Technician (preferred)
- Minimum six (6) months Pediatric experience (preferred)
- Bilingual Skills Preferred.
