As a valued member of Team JDMI, you will play a key role in providing administrative support to health professionals and leaders of multi-site department.

Requirements

  • At minimum, completion of a post- secondary certificate up to 1 year in Office Administration, or recognized equivalent
  • 6 months to 1 year experience using computer applications or health information system (i.e., EPIC MS Office)
  • At minimum 1 year experience in front-line customer service
  • General knowledge of office practices, process and procedures

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of medical terminology, preferred
  • Knowledge of RIS, CD burning software, preferred
  • Experience working in a health care environment, an asset
  • Knowledge of a second language, an asset

Responsibilities

  • Answering, screening, and triaging telephone calls
  • Receiving patients/visitors coming in for tests, procedures, and appointments
  • Scheduling patients for tests, special procedures, and urgent/emergency appointments
  • Following established procedures to ensure the efficient flow of patients and patient appointments
  • Providing routine clerical support services
