About The Position

The Medical Imaging Coordinator - MRI is the glue that pulls together a dynamic team of imaging professionals and the customers they serve. This role ensures the smooth coordination of day-to-day operations within the imaging department, embodying the Legacy mission of making life better for others. Legacy Good Samaritan Medical Center in Northwest Portland is known for its specialty programs and clinical excellence, featuring nationally renowned doctors and Oregon’s only 24-hour urgent care alongside an emergency room.

Requirements

  • Graduate of certified Radiologic Technology School and program required.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in imaging and/or other clinical modality required.
  • National registration in Radiography and MRI (ARRT-R, MR) required.
  • Current state license in Magnetic Resonance required for all employees who perform this job in the state of Oregon.
  • BLS/CPR Certification required.
  • Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions.

Nice To Haves

  • Three years of experience preferred.
  • One year in a supervisory or coordinator role preferred.
  • Supervisory course work preferred.
  • Working knowledge of CQI principals preferred.
  • Medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates department functions to allow services to be delivered expediently and efficiently through effective organization of staff and workflow.
  • Maintains knowledge of department procedures in order to provide assistance throughout the patient care continuum.
  • Proficient in the field of MRI.
  • Direct supervision is provided by the Supervisor/Manager of the department.
