The Medical Imaging Assistant will be responsible for walking patients to and from the MRI area, guiding patients to change into a gown and hospital pants, helping/instructing the patient to remove any removeable metals from their body. Going over the MRI safety screening form while helping them complete registration documents. Assist the MRI technologist in positioning patients on the MRI table. Also, assist with administrative tasks like MRI registration, label printing, printing paperwork for the charts and completing research MRI charges, scheduling schedule PET scans as needed. The hire will have a primary area, but there may be times when cross-coverage in PET is required. The preferred candidate should have a background as a Medical Imaging Assistant, transporter, EMT and/or nursing assistant experience. POSITION SUMMARY This position assists technologists and/or nurses in department by performing non-technical, patient and procedure-related duties in accordance with department/facility policies and procedures. This position is also responsible for a variety of clerical and administrative support functions and customer service for an assigned patient care area which promote an organized, efficient delivery of care to patients.
