About The Position

This role involves direct patient care, administrative support, and technical assistance within the Medical Imaging department.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • CPR Certification – required within first 90 days
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds

  • Intermediate computer skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience starting and maintaining IV's
  • CNA or Phlebotomy certified

Responsibilities

  • Transporting both inpatients and outpatients, ensuring timely transport with proper use of transport aides and equipment.
  • Assisting in moving patients in and out of beds, wheelchairs, stretchers, and exam tables.
  • Dispensing oral CT contrast for outpatients if CNA certified.
  • Ensuring patient safety.
  • Assisting Nurses and Techs through direct patient care.
  • Working directly with Nurses and Technologists to provide patient care, ensure patient safety, and consistently manage procedural workflow within Medical Imaging.
  • Handling a variety of clerical and administrative support functions and customer service for assigned patient care areas to promote organized and efficient delivery of care to patients.
  • Demonstrating knowledge of principles of growth and development over the life span, including identifying each patient’s requirements relative to age-specific needs.
  • Providing pre-test information and instructions to patients.
  • Facilitating effective caregiver handoff communication.
  • Participating in the resolution of customer questions and concerns, collecting necessary data and following through with the appropriate person for resolution.
  • Providing support in the acquisition and distribution of digital patient records, including digitizing, formatting, and uploading film-based or digital images into PACS.
  • Demonstrating proficiency with all necessary PACS, Paragon, Emix, PenRad, Cardiology Centricity, Workstation Centricity, T-Systems, MPF, SCU applications.
  • Providing timely and efficient service to all physicians, staff, and patients.
  • Fulfilling requests for images and reports, ensuring availability in the system and following proper protocols for releasing confidential patient information.
  • Assisting in the training and orientation of Associates.
  • Completing all mandatory educational requirements and certifications.
