About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and service-oriented Front Office Receptionist to join our esteemed cardiology practice, Connected Cardiovascular Care Associates, in Dallas, Texas. This position is responsible for ensuring smooth front office operations, including handling of a heavy call volume, greeting patients at check in, scheduling appointments, insurance verification, and prior authorizations for office-based cardiac testing. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency required
  • Minimum one year of experience working in a medical front office role
  • Understanding of insurance coverage, including co-pays, deductibles, and co-insurance
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • EMR experience required; E-Clinical Works (eCW) preferred
  • Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional, service-oriented demeanor and social perceptiveness
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and provide a welcoming experience at check-in and check-out
  • Collect and verify patient information for billing and insurance purposes
  • Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls; the daily call volume is in excess of 300 inbound calls per day
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments
  • Notify clinical staff of patient arrivals
  • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits via web portals and phone
  • Process incoming referrals and complete insurance authorizations for office-based testing (including cardiac stress test, CTs, ultrasounds, etc)
  • Coordinate follow-up testing and explain test instructions to patients
  • Collect patient payments, including co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances
  • Clearly communicate patient payment responsibilities
  • Maintain accuracy in patient records and documentation
  • Perform additional administrative duties as assigned
