About The Position

Our Client in Horsham, PA is seeking someone to fill their Medical Front Desk position in a cardiology office. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:30am-5:00PM.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience with EMR systems, EClinical Works specifically is a plus
2 years’ experience in a Medical receptionist or equivalent role is preferred

Responsibilities

Greets patient with a smile
Looks up patient by DOB and immediately checks encounters.
Able to identify information in previous encounters that may pertain to the present appointment and handle accordingly
Mark pt “ARR” upon arrival/R/C after check in process is completed.
Ask every patient for insurance card for verification upon every visit
Verifies that demographics are correct: Address, best phone #, PCP, emergency contact, insurance, and pharmacy.
Checks to see if patient is SMS and web-enabled.
Checks for Healow early check-in
Identifies patients who should be asked about Advanced Directive and completes appropriate fields in ECW.
Checks to see the last time insurance card, ID was scanned in the current year. If not, then scans into chart.
Checks to see if referral or precert is required and attaches to appointment if needed.
Collects patient copays and records correctly in chart.

Click Orders tab to see if provider ordered any tests/labs.
Sends encounters to appropriate staff and gives necessary information to the patient.
Schedules patient for next appointment accurately.
Sends appropriate scheduler an encounter with all necessary information or puts patient on wait list.
Prints out receipt for any copays and appointment card for future appointments.
Informs patient if they will need a new referral.
Contacts Billing dept with any inquiries about balances or any other billing questions.
Handles all walk in issues accordingly.
