The Medical Front Desk Receptionist at Fayetteville Pediatrics will be responsible for greeting patients, gathering demographic and insurance information, collecting payments, scheduling appointments, and answering telephones. Responsibilities

  • Greet patients upon arrival.
  • Gather appropriate patient demographics and insurance information and enter into NextGen.
  • Scan appropriate documents into EMA.
  • Verify insurance benefits and eligibility.
  • Collect outstanding balances, deductibles, and copays due at the time of check-in and check-out.
  • Schedule patient follow-up appointments.
  • Accurately post payments and provide receipts to patients.
  • Balance individual daily receipts and money collected with daily batch postings and Phreesia reconciliation report.
  • Answer multi-line phones and handle patient needs or direct them to the appropriate party.
  • Call patients to remind them of upcoming appointments.
  • Schedule new and follow-up appointments, and adjust existing appointments.
  • Respond to voicemails in a timely manner.
  • Maintain schedule templates for multiple doctors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
