About The Position

For 20 years, Healthcare Management Solutions, LLC (HMS) has partnered with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to improve healthcare across the U.S. Since 2014, HMS has collaborated with over half of the U.S. states, advancing healthcare quality and safety initiatives. This role involves completing surveys on various healthcare facilities, including hospitals, ambulatory surgical centers, rural health clinics, critical access hospitals, and home health and hospice agencies. The position requires extensive travel, with all arrangements made to minimize out-of-pocket expenses for the employee. Requirements

Experience completing CMS surveys is required.
Required CMS training for provider types.
Ability to critically think and be competent in decision making skills.
Ability to perform all facility required tasks.
3 years relevant experience.
Current RN License required.

Responsibilities

Complete surveys on facilities such as hospitals, ambulatory surgical centers, rural health clinics, critical access hospitals and home health and hospice.
Conduct surveys in accordance with the State Operations Manual (SOM).
Prepare a deficiency report in accordance with the Principles of Documentation (PoD) and the HMS Master Writing Guide.
Communicate survey findings through the approved Quality Assurance process.
Identify opportunities for improvement in the survey process and communicate them to appropriate leadership staff.
Accept survey assignments as needed and as directed by CMS and HMS.
