The Office of Licensure and Certification (OLC), Acute Care Division, is seeking a Medical Facilities Inspector Supervisor to conduct onsite surveys/inspections and complaint investigations of home care agencies. Duties include state certification, validation, and complaints; Virginia state licensures inspections, interpretation of state laws and regulations to ensure compliance; and the preparation of written findings. This position is designated as a mobile worker role, requiring approximately 80% travel throughout the workweek. The primary service area is Northern Virginia; however, occasional travel outside of this region may be required based on operational needs. Applicants should be health care professionals with sufficient clinical experience to evaluate the delivery of healthcare. Must be able to evaluate health-related services to determine adherence to established regulations and standards, effectively communicate detailed information verbally and in writing, and possess strong organizational skills to plan and execute a schedule of travel to meet deadlines. Travel is expected throughout the state of Virginia with overnight stays as necessary, utilizing a personal vehicle until a state car is available and assigned. A valid driver’s license in the state of Virginia is required. This position currently offers a sign-on bonus of $5,000 and 40 hours of front-loaded annual leave time with a one-year written agreement for external candidates.
