About The Position

Medical Equipment Technicians, also known as Technical Specialists, deliver, remove, service, and maintain durable medical equipment in patient homes and healthcare facilities. The job requires daily travel using a company vehicle, and the service area may extend 250+ miles.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license and a minimum of 3 years of driving experience.
• Must be insurable at standard automobile rates at all times.
• Customer support or service experience.
• Proficiency with standard technology devices and apps, such as mobile phones and tablets.
• Ability to sit, kneel, bend, or stand for extended periods.
• Ability to safely lift, move, or transport 50–75 pounds, with and without physical aids.
• Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle for short- and long-distance travel.
• Must wear provided personal protective equipment, including safety shoes, gloves, and protective clothing.

Nice To Haves

• Technical or trade school training or certification.
• Work experience in the medical device or healthcare industry.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and complete deliveries and removals of medical equipment in patient homes and healthcare facilities.
• Keep accurate records of delivery, pick-up, maintenance, and repair activities.
• Demonstrate and explain the general operation and proper use of medical equipment to patients and customers.
• Work on an on-call rotation.
• Maintain the warehouse and fleet vehicles.
• Adhere to company safety and compliance policies.
