About The Position

Maintains, repairs, and delivers medical equipment to ensure proper functioning and availability for patient care. This role involves routine inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of medical equipment. The technician will also manage inventory, restock supplies, clean and sterilize equipment, train medical staff, and participate in process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, interpersonal, communication, and computer skills.
  • Effective analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to understand and apply inventory management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of experience with stocking or materials, preferred.
  • Experience in a management role in a hospital, or direct care provider, preferred.
  • Familiarity with instruments and supplies utilized in the provision of dental care and urgent care settings, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains medical equipment by conducting routine inspections and performing preventive maintenance.
  • Collaborates to repair and troubleshoot medical equipment malfunctions to ensure proper functioning.
  • Keeps accurate records of equipment maintenance and repairs.
  • Orders and restocks medical supplies and equipment as needed, monitoring and maintaining inventory and expenses.
  • Cleans and sterilizes medical equipment to prevent the spread of infection.
  • Trains medical staff on proper use and maintenance of equipment.
  • Participates in continuous process improvement for materials management and cost reduction programs.
