Medical Equipment Sanitizer - 1st shift PRN (as needed)
About The Position
TRIMEDX is seeking PRN (as needed) support in the Jackson MS area for a Medical Equipment Sanitizer role. This position offers flexible work arrangements, primarily on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, with potential for additional hours. As a Medical Equipment Sanitizer, you will be responsible for ensuring medical equipment is clean, safe, and ready for use, playing a vital role in infection prevention and patient safety within the hospital setting. You will be an essential part of the team that keeps hospitals running smoothly by maintaining sanitized, high-quality medical equipment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- A passion for healthcare and patient safety
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. throughout your shift
- Strong attention to detail and a team-player attitude
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Ability to pass a background check & drug test
Responsibilities
- Ensure medical equipment is sanitized, bagged, and ready for use
- Quickly and efficiently transport equipment throughout the hospital
- Maintain and verify inventory levels of medical equipment
- Provide outstanding customer service and build strong relationships with hospital staff
- Adapt to a dynamic hospital environment, navigating different areas as needed
- Enter occupied patient rooms to complete medical equipment quantity checks
- Play an essential role in infection prevention and patient safety
