About The Position

Norco is currently seeking an individual to fill our Medical Equipment Cleaner - Delivery Driver position. The Equipment Cleaner cleans and refurbishes various types of medical equipment in an efficient, accurate manner. The Delivery Driver delivers and exchanges full cylinders and liquid vessels for empty ones and also delivers freight to customers. Delivery Driver is also responsible for the delivery, set-up and pick up of DME equipment, supplemental oxygen products and supplies to home care patients within a prescribed and assigned geographical area. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Clean / disinfect / refurbish and perform preventive maintenance on various types of medical equipment Perform functional testing on various types of medical equipment Re-certify medical equipment to CMS and accreditation body standards Document that cleaned equipment needs accreditation body standards in TIMS Equipment Tracking System (ETS) Notes Bag serviced medical equipment for shipping and place Clean, Test, Bag, Tag (CTBT) tag on equipment showing it is ready for patient use Research maintenance records in TIMS ETS Communicate with customers, vendors, co-workers, and management regarding the servicing of equipment Back-up Route Delivery Driver Efficiently organize delivery route on a daily basis Deliver liquid and compressed gaseous oxygen to specified points of delivery Deliver durable medical equipment, as well as other home care related equipment to specific points of delivery Protect patient PHI per HIPAA regulations Handle the retrieval of rental return items and their proper handling and placement into the designated rental return area Provide patient/client orientation instructing on the proper use of equipment Work with patients/clients to solve a variety of problems, thereby acting as a company field representative Shared on-call rotation, approximately one week a month Perform other tasks as assigned or necessary Wage $19-$21/Hr DOE

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Valid Driver's license
  • No at fault accidents in the past 3 years
  • Possess the ability to repair, maintain, clean, and package various types of medical equipment
  • Possess strong mechanical skills
  • Accurately enter data into computer
  • Good organizational skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Read repair orders, manuals, computer screen, etc.
  • Ability to lift and/or carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs. frequently and occasionally weighing over 100 lbs.
  • Complete tasks and solve problems independently with little supervision

Responsibilities
