About The Position
The Life Support Learning Center (LSLC) is seeking an experienced Emergency Services Provider with a passion for teaching. The LSLC offers BLS, ALS, and critical care courses to all clinical staff who require credentialing (MD, RN, Paramedic, RT, etc.). This role involves clinical education responsibilities in emergency education, medical emergency, and emergency management, supporting these areas through education, trainer instruction, administrative functions, and team/committee participation.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- American Heart Association Instructor for ACLS PALS and/or BLS within two weeks of hire.
- 1-2 years’ experience required.
- EMT-B required
Nice To Haves
- At least 2 years of strong ALS experience
- Strong desire to embrace various instructional modalities
- At least 2 years of experience as a medic level provider
- Strong work ethic and adaptability
- Previous instructor experience is not required
- High School Graduate or Equivalent
- 2 years experience as a Paramedic
- EMT-P in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- ACLS and PALS instructor certificates preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide education and trainer instruction in emergency education, medical emergency, and emergency management.
- Perform administrative functions related to the Life Support Learning Center.
- Participate in team and committee activities.
- Offer BLS, ALS, and critical care courses to clinical staff.
