This position is responsible for the technical operations of Carolinas Simulation Center (CSC). Under the direction of the Simulation Education Managers, this position will set-up, operate, and maintain a vast array of simulation technology, including task trainers, low and high-fidelity manikins, software management systems, and audiovisual systems. The role supports simulation activities at various locations around the Charlotte area. The Medical Education Technologist/Simulation Operations Specialist (SOS) is a professional, team-centered, and collaborative position that provides simulation technology expertise, training, and support to Carolinas Simulation Center teammates and collaborators. The SOS directly supports the creation of simulation education curriculum through different learning modalities and works in collaboration with simulation educators, faculty, and teammates to develop these offerings. This role also provides training and support for technology platforms utilized by various members of the medical education community. The position requires a high level of independence, strong project management, communication, and collaboration skills, a commitment to superior customer service, and a passion for creating and supporting innovative educational solutions for leaders, faculty, students, residents, and fellows.
