If you are passionate about making a difference, we are seeking a Medical Education Manager to lead the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of medical education initiatives that support healthcare professionals and advance clinical knowledge. This position is 100% onsite at our West Chester, PA office and reports to the Vice President, Medical Education & Clinical Accounts.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years work experience post baccalaureate, ideally in medical device industry or allied health field.
  • Experience in leading and working within teams; planning, developing and coordinating events and activities; and managing events with both internal and external audiences/participants, including Health Care Professionals.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects, sourced from multiple colleagues, including working within a matrix reporting structure on competing expectations.
  • Fine attention to detail and experience with data documentation program requirements.
  • Strong sense of urgency and problem solving skills.
  • Positive, supportive customer service skills, both over the phone and in person.
  • Experience in using a computer required.
  • Familiarity with common software programs (e.g., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to perform independent research for all tasks.
  • Experience in area and project-based budget development and management required.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Event Planning software programs strongly desired.
  • Experience in working with quality system requirements (e.g., traceability, complaint handling) desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Professional Relations and Medical Education (Med Ed) team members to establish annual medical education strategic plans, relative to national and local demand (Health Care Professionals and Sales Management).
  • Lead and/or assist with coordination of educational activities (e.g., didactic conference schedule, bioskills courses, surgical observations, webinars, Round Tables, etc.) that support the Centinel Spine Med Ed program’s curriculum.
  • Assist with the organization of Education Committee meetings, agenda planning, etc.
  • Work with Med Ed and Course Planning teammates to identify educational event locations, facilities, dates and faculty, according to strategic plan.
  • Work with the Professional Education Events Manager to ensure course registration is established and that confirmation letters and course information are passed to registered employee, distributor, and Health Care Professional participants.
  • Ensure travel, housing and catering arrangements are finalized for faculty and participants.
  • Ensure post-event follow-up and documentation is completed.
  • Ensure post-event results are reported on a timely basis.
  • Work with Centinel Spine Logistics to coordinate all product and equipment shipments for events.
  • Manage and maintain implant and instrument inventory and support replacements as needed.
  • Work with Course locations to ensure all non-Centinel Spine equipment such as PPE, radiographic equipment, power equipment, etc. is available and present for all events.
  • Manage Med Ed courses on site, in partnership with rest of Med Ed and leadership of other support teams (Clinical Account Managers, Sales Managers, etc.).
  • Work with Professional Relations Director to manage course lectures and course materials, as needed.
  • Provide approved lectures to faculty well in advance of courses.
  • As necessary, work with faculty to modify or adapt lectures to faculty and obtain necessary technical and regulatory approval of changes.
  • Support the educator(s) and faculty prior to, during and after the assigned programs.
  • Maintain high level of positive, supportive public relations with Faculty.
  • Help to build and grow faculty, increase course effectiveness, and faculty skills.
  • Support budget management for surgeon education events (e.g., creating annual budgets, managing spending appropriately, processing invoices, monitoring and ensuring program remains within budget, and troubleshooting participant requests).
  • Continuously review processes relative to programs, logistics and budgets, and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
