About The Position

Trillium Health Resources is seeking a Medical Economics Analyst II to join their Finance team. This role is responsible for analyzing rate trends, identifying key financial drivers, and communicating these findings to various stakeholders. The position involves developing and implementing payer analytics and economics strategies related to provider rates, analyzing data from behavioral health, physical health, and pharmacy sources using tools like Excel, SQL, and Access. The analyst will leverage industry trends and Medicaid fee schedules to inform decision-making, prepare presentations for rate initiatives, contribute to process improvement projects, and provide technical support to team members.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED and six (6) years of experience in healthcare analytics or medical economics, including experience with Excel or experience developing and writing code; OR Associate's degree and four (4) years of experience in healthcare analytics or medical economics, including experience with Excel or experience developing and writing code; OR Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience in healthcare analytics or medical economics, including experience with Excel or experience developing and writing code; OR Equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must reside within North Carolina.
  • Must be able to travel within catchment as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) years or more experience in Managed Care industry.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement payer analytics and economics strategies around provider rates.
  • Analyze behavioral health, physical health, and pharmacy data and rates using a variety of data sources and programs including but not limited to Excel, SQL, Access, etc.
  • Utilize industry trends and Medicaid fee schedules and data concepts to drive decision-making.
  • Prepare presentations and other collateral materials to support rate initiatives.
  • Participate in rates process improvement projects.
  • Provide technical training and support to team members.
