About The Position

CareVet of Oconoto Falls is seeking an experienced Veterinarian to lead our practice as Medical Director! Our Medical Directors spend 90+% of their time practicing medicine! This position offers a six-figure salary plus production, clinical support, work/life balance, and a generous signing bonus! The Medical Director is responsible for providing medical leadership for the hospital, managing associate veterinarians, and assuring regulatory compliance relating to the practice of veterinary medicine. The Medical Director is also responsible for creating an environment of teamwork in which quality medicine and exceptional client service are delivered. Formerly known as Hometown Veterinary Clinic, CareVet of Oconto Falls was founded in 1990 by Paul J. Yatso, D.V.M. Dr. Yatso returned to Oconto Falls, the town where he was raised, after receiving his doctorate from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 1986. Hometown began as a mobile bovine and companion animal practice until our current facility was built in 2005. Nestled along the scenic Oconto River, Oconto Falls, Wisconsin, offers small-town charm with big outdoor adventures — from fishing and kayaking to hiking scenic trails. Requirements

Ability to show compassion to both pets and their owners
Outstanding dexterity in handling animals while performing precise tasks
Ability to react quickly and make decisions under pressure about the wellbeing of an animal
Strong fondness and understanding of animals
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of animal behavior
Ability to use medical technologies during diagnosis, research and surgery of animals
