About The Position
The Medical Director will oversee outpatient clinic operations, providing both clinical and administrative leadership. This role involves supervising clinical staff, ensuring quality of care, managing patient flow, and contributing to the financial performance of the clinic. The Medical Director will also participate in clinical research and report to executive medical leadership.
Requirements
- Valid state medical license
- BLS certification
- DEA certification
- 10+ years of experience preferred
- Supervisory experience
- Quality improvement experience
- GCP training for research
- HSP training for research
Nice To Haves
- AAHIVM Certification (within 18 months)
- Board Certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Supervise and evaluate HCC clinical staff including MDs, DOs, and mid-level providers
- Review patient charts for quality, compliance, and performance metrics
- Ensure provider staffing, vacation coordination, and patient flow
- Monitor productivity and address performance issues
- Support and oversee CME participation and charting compliance
- Participate in clinical research and serve as Sub-Investigator when needed
- Lead interdisciplinary team meetings and daily huddles
- Oversee clinic administration and financial performance
- Report to executive medical leadership and participate in scheduled committees
- Conduct hiring, training, and performance management of HCC staff
- Perform clinical evaluations and assessments
- Engage in quality metric reporting and chart review
- Provide administrative oversight
- Conduct clinical trial evaluations as needed
