About The Position

Crossroads Treatment Centers is seeking a Part-Time Medical Director for its outpatient clinic in Ringgold, GA. Crossroads has been a leader in treating patients with opioid use disorder since 2005, offering accessible, high-quality, evidence-based medication-assisted treatment (MAT). The organization aims to combat the opioid epidemic and guide patients toward recovery. Crossroads operates outpatient, office-based clinics across multiple states, serving over 26,500 patients.

Requirements

  • MD or DO with an active, unrestricted medical licensure authorized to practice medicine in the state of practice.
  • Board certified in primary specialty in Family Medicine/Family Practice, Internal Medicine, General Practice, or Psychiatry.
  • DEA Certificate of Registration in the state of practice with ability to schedule 2, 2N, 3, 4, & 5.
  • Must have or be eligible for enrollment for Medicaid and Medicare credentials.
  • Medical Directors must have 12 hours of approved training in narcotic-addiction treatment within the 12 months preceding the date of hire.
  • A physician may serve as Medical Director of no more than two narcotic treatment programs and are within 50 miles of the physician's primary residence or primary office location.
  • The Medical Director can be more than 50 miles from the Crossroads OTP as long as they are only serving as a Medical Director for the one Crossroads OTP. This would include also serving as a Medical Director for any non-Crossroads OTP's.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in addiction medicine, preferably with experience treating patients with opioid use disorder (OUD) and/or providing medication for opioid use disorder.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and manage patients with opioid use disorder in outpatient clinic settings.
  • Prescribe appropriate medications and treatments based on patient assessment.
  • Complete medical documentation according to Crossroads standards.
  • Collaborate with clinic staff to provide holistic patient care, including referrals.
  • Provide injections if needed.
  • Provide APP collaboration and supervision (additional stipend for supervising Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants).
