About The Position

Crossroads Treatment Centers is seeking a Part-Time Medical Director for its outpatient clinic in Ringgold, GA. Crossroads has been a leader in treating patients with opioid use disorder since 2005, offering accessible, high-quality, evidence-based medication-assisted treatment (MAT). The organization aims to combat the opioid epidemic and guide patients toward recovery. Their comprehensive approach is recognized as the gold standard in care for opioid use disorder, proven to reduce overdose deaths and promote long-term recovery. Crossroads operates outpatient, office-based clinics across multiple states, serving over 26,500 patients.

Requirements

MD or DO with an active, unrestricted medical licensure authorized to practice medicine in the state of practice.
Board certified in primary specialty in Family Medicine/Family Practice, Internal Medicine, General Practice, or Psychiatry.
DEA Certificate of Registration in the state of practice with ability to schedule 2, 2N, 3, 4, & 5.
Must have or be eligible for enrollment for Medicaid and Medicare credentials.
Medical Directors must have 12 hours of approved training in narcotic-addiction treatment within the 12 months preceding the date of hire.
A physician may serve as Medical Director of no more than two narcotic treatment programs and are within 50 miles of the physician's primary residence or primary office location.
The Medical Director can be more than 50 miles from the Crossroads OTP as long as they are only serving as a Medical Director for the one Crossroads OTP. This would include also serving as a Medical Director for any non-Crossroads OTP's.

Nice To Haves

Experience in addiction medicine, preferably with experience treating patients with opioid use disorder (OUD) and/or providing medication for opioid use disorder.

Responsibilities

Evaluate and manage patients with opioid use disorder in outpatient clinic settings.
Prescribe appropriate medications and treatments based on patient assessment.
Complete medical documentation according to Crossroads standards.
Collaborate with clinic staff to provide holistic patient care, including referrals.
Provide injections if needed.
Provide APP collaboration and supervision (additional stipend for supervising Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants).
