About The Position
Points East Veterinary Specialty Hospital of Wilson, NC, one of only two VECCS-certified facilities in North Carolina, is seeking an experienced veterinarian to serve as Medical Director for our established specialty and emergency referral hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to provide medical leadership within one of North Carolina's premier specialty hospitals while working alongside a highly collaborative team of boarded specialists, emergency veterinarians, and experienced support staff dedicated to exceptional patient care. As Medical Director, you will play a key role in advancing medical excellence, supporting team development, strengthening referral relationships, and fostering a hospital culture centered on collaboration, accountability, and high-quality medicine.
Requirements
- DVM or equivalent degree
- Previous leadership experience preferred
- Passion for mentorship, team development, and collaborative medicine
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Commitment to clinical excellence and exceptional client service
- Interest in helping lead and grow a specialty referral hospital
