About The Position

Centurion is seeking a part-time Site Medical Director at Central State Prison. The Medical Director provides clinical direction to meet service delivery requirements, delivers clinical services to patients, and provides clinical supervision for medical staff at the assigned site under the supervision of the Statewide Medical Director. The role collaborates with the Health Services Administrator (HSA) to ensure efficient and clinically appropriate medical services and participates in committees, including Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), Infection Prevention and Control, and Pharmacy and Therapeutics, as requested. The position is listed as 24 hours per week.

Requirements

• Active and unrestricted physician license, or ability to obtain one.
• Active Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration, or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to pass credentialing and a background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical direction needed to meet service delivery requirements.
• Direct clinical services for patients.
• Provide clinical supervision for medical staff at the assigned site.
• Collaborate with the Health Services Administrator to ensure efficient and clinically appropriate medical services.
• Participate in committees such as Continuous Quality Improvement, Infection Prevention and Control, and Pharmacy and Therapeutics, as requested.
