At Children's Hope Alliance, our mission is simple: Hope, Health and Healing for Generations. We're seeking a compassionate and experienced Part-Time Medical Director to provide clinical leadership and help ensure exceptional behavioral health services for children, youth, and families across North Carolina.

This is a part-time, salaried exempt position requiring a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week.

This is an opportunity for a physician or psychiatrist who is passionate about making a meaningful impact while collaborating with a dedicated team of behavioral health professionals. As Medical Director, you'll play a key role in guiding clinical best practices, supporting prescribers, and helping drive positive outcomes for the individuals we serve.

Requirements

• MD, licensed to practice in North Carolina. Psychiatrist or Pediatrician preferred.
• Verifiable experience treating children with mental health diagnoses.
• Knowledge and the ability to practically implement mental health regulations and clinical services.
• Effective communication, decision making, analytical, interpersonal, leadership and professional skills and abilities.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• A valid North Carolina’s Driver’s License.
• Must submit to and pass pre-employment drug screening, criminal, HCPR, OIG, EPLS and driving checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical and psychiatric oversight of behavioral health services
• Partner with agency leadership to advance evidence-based practices and quality care
• Support and supervise prescribing staff through consultation and mentorship
• Review clinical assessments, treatment plans, and service authorizations
• Participate in case consultations and utilization reviews to improve treatment outcomes
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, whole-person care
• Serve as a trusted clinical leader helping shape the future of our programs
