Per Diem Medical Director (Physician) - Geriatric Primary Care
About The Position
In partnership with the Chief Operating Officer, the Medical Director will assist in setting the overall clinical direction of the house call practice and Medicare GUIDE dementia care program, ensuring that care delivery aligns with the organization's mission, value-based strategy, and growth objectives. The overall areas of responsibility for the Medical Director include: - clinical provider oversight - supervise nurse practitioners and physician assistants - maintain a small, coverage-based clinical practice - clinical leadership and strategy - Medicare GUIDE program oversight - operational and financial collaboration - make clinical decisions in partnership with other leaders The practice uses the AthenaCare EHR.
Requirements
- North Carolina medical license
- DEA
- Board Certification, relevant speciality (internal medicine, family medicine, geriatrics, etc.)
- 5+ years related clinical experience
- previous leadership experience strongly preferred
