About The Position

Crossroads Treatment Centers is seeking a Part-time Medical Director for their Greensboro, NC location. Crossroads has been a leader in treating patients with opioid use disorder since 2005, offering accessible, high-quality, evidence-based medication-assisted treatment (MAT). The organization aims to combat the opioid epidemic and guide individuals toward recovery. Their comprehensive treatment approach is recognized as the gold standard for opioid use disorder, proven to reduce overdose deaths and promote long-term recovery. Crossroads operates outpatient, office-based clinics across multiple states, serving over 26,500 patients.

Requirements

MD or DO with an active, unrestricted medical licensure authorized to practice medicine in the state of practice.
Board certified in Family Medicine/Family Practice, Internal Medicine, General Practice, or Psychiatry.
DEA Certificate of Registration in the state of practice with ability to schedule 2, 2N, 3, 4, & 5.
Must have or be eligible for enrollment for Medicaid and Medicare credentials.
Onsite presence at least 4 hours per month.

Nice To Haves

Experience in addiction medicine.
Experience treating patients with opioid use disorder (OUD).
Experience providing medication for opioid use disorder.

Responsibilities

Evaluate and manage patients with opioid use disorder in outpatient clinic settings.
Prescribe appropriate medications and treatments based on patient assessment.
Complete medical documentation according to Crossroads standards.
Collaborate with clinic staff to provide holistic patient care, including referrals.
Provide injections if needed.
Supervise Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants (additional stipend).
