ACRS seeks a full-time Adult Mental Health - Medical Director who provides clinical and strategic leadership for psychiatric services within ACRS. The Medical Director role is central to advancing ACRS’s mission as a social justice organization committed to promoting the health and well-being of Asian and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander communities and other historically underserved populations. Through clinical and strategic leadership of psychiatric services, this position ensures that care is not only high-quality and evidence-based, but also culturally responsive, linguistically appropriate, and grounded in an understanding of the structural barriers that impact access to mental health care. This role operationalizes ACRS’s values by centering clients and communities in all aspects of service design and delivery, fostering environments where belonging is experienced by both clients and staff, and leading with compassion in clinical decision-making and staff support. The Medical Director champions equitable access to care by guiding practices that reduce disparities, improve engagement, and address the complex social, cultural, and behavioral health needs of the populations served. In partnership with internal leaders and external stakeholders, the Medical Director advances advocacy efforts by elevating community needs within healthcare systems, influencing policy and practice, and strengthening cross-sector collaboration. This role ensures that psychiatric services reflect and respond to the lived experiences of the communities ACRS serves, while contributing to broader efforts that promote health equity, social justice, and sustainable, community-centered systems of care.
