About The Position

As a Psychiatrist in our clinic, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive psychiatric services to our patients. Working with minimal supervision and leveraging your extensive initiative and independent judgment, you will conduct evaluations, manage medications, perform diagnostics, and develop personalized plans of care within a hybrid schedule. You will be an integral member of our treatment team, collaborating effectively with others and acting as a trusted partner at the clinic. This is a full or part time, hybrid, Medical Director opportunity located in League City, Texas beginning April 2026.

Requirements

• M.D., or D.O., degree from an accredited school of medicine or osteopathy in the US, or valid M.D. from a foreign school of medicine and have passed the ECFMG exam.
• Have completed an internship from an accredited graduate medical education program recognized by AMA (LCME) or AOA.
• Must have a valid and current medical license in Texas residency to practice psychiatry.
• Must have completed a psychiatric residency in an accredited residency program.
• Board Certified or board eligible in Psychiatry
• Must have clearance through the National Practitioner Data Bank.
• Must not be precluded from participating in Medicare or Medicaid programs.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain licensure in multiple states.
• Must have a valid DEA number or the ability to obtain a DEA license in multiple states.
• Active CPR Certification
• Ability to diagnose and treat patients experiencing psychological distress and/or mental illness.
• Strong patient assessment and patient management skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients referred for assessing and treating neuropsychiatric conditions, behavioral health disorders, and comorbid conditions.
• Provide recommendations for assessment, treatment, and monitoring.
• Provide psychiatric care to patients upon referral per evidence-based standards and American Psychiatric Association practice guidelines.
• Provide follow-up care, medication management, and other therapies as appropriate, with clear and thorough documentation of indication and need.
• Document the appropriate diagnosis or diagnoses and recommend the optimal medication regimen.
• Optimize and streamline psychotropic medication regimens.
• Monitor and adjust psychotropic medications to optimize functioning and relieve symptom-related distress.
• Consult with primary care sites and providers, where indicated, to adjust and simplify medication regimens and treatment approaches.
• Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, social workers, nurses, or other professionals to discuss and integrate treatment plans and progress.
• Work with administrative staff.
• Supervision of nurse practitioners.
• Represent the company in business development opportunities, including collaboration with the sales team or other departments, to develop new business opportunities.
• Ensure the gathering and maintenance of patient information and records, including social or medical history obtained from patients, relatives, or other professionals.
• Examine and/or recommend laboratory and diagnostic testing for general physical and mental health conditions.
• Record all notes, recommendations, and services provided in EHR/patients chart within 24 hours of a patient encounter, per policy.
• Prepare and submit case reports or summaries to governmental, insurance, or other health agencies, as required.
• Participate in the review of the quality of care provided for Mindful Healths practice.
• When requested or required by Mindful Health, review and evaluate treatment procedures and outcomes of other clinicians.
• Cooperate in, prepare, submit, and maintain all documentation necessary for credentialing, privileging, insurance participation, billing, and record keeping.
• Participate in clinical and administrative meetings as may be required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
