Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrist
  • South Dakota medical license (or ability to obtain)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations.
  • Provide ongoing medication management for behavioral health clients.
  • Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications.
  • Collaborate closely with therapists, psychiatric nursing staff, and advanced practice providers.
  • Provide clinical supervision and consultation to the mid-level practitioners as needed.
  • Participate in treatment planning and interdisciplinary care coordination.
  • Promote community education and strengthen relationships with medical providers throughout the region.
  • Help guide clinical quality and best practices across the agency.
  • Provide oversight to Serenity Hills detoxification program.
