About The Position

CareDx, Inc. is a leading precision medicine solutions company focused on the discovery, development, and commercialization of clinically differentiated, high-value healthcare solutions for transplant patients and caregivers. CareDx offers products, testing services, and digital healthcare solutions along the pre- and post-transplant patient journey, and is the leading provider of genomics-based information for transplant patients. We are seeking a Medical Director, Oncology to lead the clinical and medical strategy supporting CareDx’s expanding oncology portfolio, with a focus on solid tumors, particularly head and neck malignancies, and their intersection with transplant, immune monitoring, and precision diagnostics. This role will play a critical part in shaping clinical development, driving translational research initiatives, and positioning CareDx as a leader in precision medicine and biomarker-driven care.

Requirements

  • MD; ideally with fellowship training in Medical or Surgical Oncology.
  • Subspecialty expertise or strong clinical focus in Head & Neck Oncology.
  • Proven experience in clinical trials, publications, and scientific presentations.
  • Expertise in precision medicine, molecular diagnostics, or biomarker-driven oncology care.
  • Experience in academic or research-driven environments preferred.
  • Industry experience in diagnostics, therapeutics, or medical affairs is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and execution of clinical studies, including investigator-initiated trials, registries, and translational research collaborations.
  • Develop evidence-generation strategies supporting CLIA validation, clinical adoption, and reimbursement pathways.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders in head & neck oncology and academic centers.
  • Represent CareDx at major oncology conferences and scientific forums.
  • Lead development and execution of publication strategies, including abstracts, manuscripts, and presentations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with clinical, commercial, regulatory, and data science teams.
