About The Position

Northwestern Medical Group has a unique opportunity for an experienced Primary Care Physician to join the team as the Medical Director of Primary Care Digital Innovation. In this role, the qualified individual will be expected to commit half of their time delivering against leadership goals and objectives, with the balance dedicated to providing quality patient care.

Requirements

At least five years in Primary Care practice preferred
Experience and past leadership in the area of digital health, AI, and emerging technologies
Strong clinical credentials

Responsibilities

Drive the development and implementation of NM Primary Care’s digital innovation strategy, focusing on the integration of AI and new technologies to enhance care delivery.
Act as the clinical expert and physician liaison for digital innovations, ensuring effective integration with NM Primary Care operations.
Enhance NM’s national reputation in Primary Care digital innovation through participation in presentations, publications, and committee memberships.
Oversee the creation and leadership of the NM Primary Care AI Fellowship program, cultivating the next generation of leaders in AI-driven healthcare.
Serve as the Primary Care representative on NM health system committees and projects related to AI, new technology, and digital innovation initiatives.
Collaborate with the PCEC Innovation Subcommittee and other relevant groups to drive innovative initiatives and projects.
Work closely with administration and leadership to ensure timely and budget-compliant completion of Institute deliverables.
Stay informed about emerging trends and technologies in AI and digital health, assessing their potential impact on Primary Care practices.
Create and implement training programs for clinical staff to enhance their understanding and utilization of digital tools and AI technologies.
