About The Position
MedStar Health, in partnership with CoreLife, is seeking a compassionate and strategic Medical Director to provide clinical leadership, mentor providers, and strengthen partnerships with MedStar hospitals and referring providers. This role is crucial in an innovative healthcare model transforming the treatment of obesity and chronic disease. CoreLife's integrated care model combines medical treatment, nutrition counseling, behavioral health, and exercise programming to achieve sustainable patient outcomes. The Medical Director will play a key role in shaping clinical strategy and expanding obesity medicine services.
Requirements
- Licensed Physician with active DEA and Controlled Substance credentials
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Primary Care or related specialty
- Proven clinical leadership experience
- Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills

Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor physicians, nurse practitioners, and clinical staff
- Drive clinical excellence and evidence-based patient care
- Serve as the primary liaison between CoreLife and MedStar hospitals
- Support provider recruitment, onboarding, and development
- Optimize clinic operations, workflows, and patient outcomes
- Collaborate on strategic growth and business development initiatives
- Promote a multidisciplinary, patient-centered care model
- Ensure compliance with clinical protocols and quality standards
