About The Position
Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is seeking a Medical Director for Adult Primary Care and Geriatrics to join the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. This role is based at the new Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital and Health & Wellness Institute, which offers a wide range of outpatient services. The position involves direct patient care, precepting residents, and collaborating with academic affiliations to ensure high standards of healthcare delivery. Requirements
- Board Certification in Internal Medicine
- Active or eligible for a New York State Medical License
- Valid DEA registration
Responsibilities
- Serve as the direct supervisor, provide clinical guidance, and complete performance evaluations for clinical staff.
- Direct, evaluate, and supervise all aspects of the following Departments: Adult Primary Care, Geriatrics, Same Day, Weight Management, and IDA G Family Medicine.
- Provide direct patient care and precept Residents in Resident practice.
- Collaborate with the Medicine Residency Program Directors to ensure an optimal continuity clinic experience for Medicine Residents.
- Develop and lead Departmental performance improvement activities.
- Coordinate closely with ambulatory nursing and administrative leadership.
- Participate in weekly departmental operations and committee meetings.
