About The Position

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is seeking a Medical Director for Adult Primary Care and Geriatrics to join the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. This role involves supervising clinical staff, directing various departments including Adult Primary Care, Geriatrics, Same Day, Weight Management, and IDA G Family Medicine, and providing direct patient care. The Medical Director will also precept Residents, collaborate with program directors to ensure optimal continuity clinic experiences, and lead departmental performance improvement activities. This position requires close coordination with ambulatory nursing and administrative leadership, and participation in departmental operations and committee meetings. Requirements

Board Certification in Internal Medicine
Active or eligible for a New York State Medical License
Valid DEA registration

Responsibilities

Serve as the direct supervisor, provide clinical guidance, and complete performance evaluations for clinical staff.
Direct, evaluate, and supervise all aspects of the following Departments: Adult Primary Care, Geriatrics, Same Day, Weight Management, and IDA G Family Medicine.
Provide direct patient care and precept Residents in Resident practice.
Collaborate with the Medicine Residency Program Directors to ensure an optimal continuity clinic experience for Medicine Residents.
Develop and lead Departmental performance improvement activities.
Coordinate closely with ambulatory nursing and administrative leadership.
Participate in weekly departmental operations and committee meetings.
